THROWBACK: The Mudd Nigguhz f/ Taylor Mayd and Messiah - Wild Wolves Theme

Straight Throwback 2001 flavor off of the underground CLASSIC "The Rebirth, The Rezurrexxtion, The Mudd Nigguhz" album starring Father Jah and Butta Kinkaid (aka B'TT K'NK'D). This particular cut "Wild Wolves Theme" features Taylor Mayd and Messiah, plus unorthodox production courtesy of Butta Kinkaid, Taylor Mayd, and Father Jah. Honestly, this song is in a lane all it's own and I've NEVER heard a beat like this even tho it's OVER 10 years old at this point......WOW!!! Lyrically, the song also is a stand out, combining 4 completely different and distinct flows that still mash together and compliment each other. To be blunt, songs like THIS truly showcase the beauty of independent Hip Hop when it doesn't stick to a script or attempt to carbon copy that which already IS. Hell, the fact that this song even has 4 verses is Ill lol!!! Not to mention the fact that this recording was done with NO COMPUTER, only a Tascam 880 digital 8-Track Recorder, and the production was done on the Ensoniq MR61 keyboard, which was the 2nd to last keyboard the great Ensoniq company released before being bought out by Korg and going out of business.
Hopefully, for my young cats this song can serve as a inspiration in helping serve up a different sound that pushes boundaries, limits, concepts, and rules, because THAT is what this music was made to do!!! The Mudd Nigguhz album is a Underground Hip Hop CLASSIC from the Midwest/Southeast area that showed and proved the power of independent Hip Hop with little radio play, strong street promotion, and a unique product. SALUTE to all the great minds involved in making this a Underground trend setter and CLASSIC album and the ENTIRE Unstopable/YaBoyNem family past and present!!!
